Meet the Teachers

Meet founder Kristin Riciputi

Hello! My name is Kristin Riciputi, Owner/Director at the Treehouse School.  Opening my own preschool has always been a dream of mine.  Education and teaching is my passion and I truly feel that it's a privilege to work with your children everyday!  I have taught Pre-K through 2nd Grade for the past twelve years and have my M.Ed from Lesley University.  From progressive private schools in Boston and NYC to the honorable public schools in Massachusetts, I find my diverse experience has allowed me to develop a unique mission. To me, a Treehouse represents a pillar of strength, grounded in roots.  It represents exploration and adventure...climbing to new heights and seeing the world from a different perspective.  Come join me as we watch your children learn, grow and have FUN!

About The Treehouse School

About The Treehouse School

Hello and welcome to the Treehouse School! We are now operating in two locations- Portsmouth, NH and Charlestown, MA. We are a preschool educating children ages 2.9-5 years old, offering early morning and extended day programs for your convenience! Founded by Kristin Fichera, a private school educator from New York City, The Treehouse School prides itself on its progressive teaching methods.  Unlike any other school in the area, we believe that there isn't just ONE approach to learning.  That's why we have a hybrid philosophy. So what does that look like?

Children learn best through imaginative play.  Exploration and peer interaction lay the foundation for a successful student. However, The Treehouse also believes that a child must have direct instruction in literacy and mathematics for his or her academic future.

Early Learning Education & Philosophy

Incorporating our philosophy is at the roots of this treehouse, yet we NEVER lose sight of our #1 goal: Always have fun!
